Kalpa : Kalpa at an altitude of 2960 mts is part of Kinnaur district. The Hu-Bu-Lan-Kar monastery that is here is believed to be founded in 950-1055 AD by Richen Zangpo.
Nako : In dry but scenic surroundings , with a turquoise lake at an elevation of 2950 mts , is Nako where the monastery was established by Rihen Zangpo in 1025 AD. The monastery complex , a wood and stone structure ,preserves centuries old architecture, sculptures and fine carvings on its walls.
